Interim Eagle County Schools Superintendent.

Dr. Lopex earned her Ph.D from the University of Colorado at Denver Previously, a master's in gifted education from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and her Bachelor of Arts in Education from University of Northern Colorado. Lopez worked in three Colorado school districts: Colorado Springs School District 11 for 25 years; Academy District 20 for eight years; and Pueblo City Schools as superintendent for four years. She has been in education for 37 years as a teacher, gifted and talented program supervisor, principal, assistant superintendent, board liaison and superintendent.

We have been lucky to have her while the school board fills the permanent Superintendent position.
